El Bosque 

For El Bosque (The Forest, 2022), the company Marcat Dance expands its movement vocabulary by exploring and investigating the movements of animals, among other things: exploring the weight of its own body in relation to gravity, contemplating the animal ready to attack or flee .
Inspired by the atmosphere of the forest, its inhabitants, energies and sensations, the three dancers Mario Bermúdez, Catherine Coury and Marilisa Gallicchio interact to the electronic music of Jose Pablo Polo, who explores the theme musically. In this way, in the combination of dance and sound, they create overlapping associations that depict the variety of impressions in the forest - mysterious, lively, energetic, frightening and full of wonder - and take the audience on a sensory journey.
Jose Pablo Polo, music composer, says:

"Walking into the forest means entering into a dialogue with a series of sounds (...). This immersion in the unknown is the starting point of the musical composition for El Bosque: a temporal orchestration of a soundscape of an electric nature."
