Discover Your Magical Hybrid Creature!
Imagine this: You are half lion, half human… or maybe part bird? What kind of creature is hiding in your imagination?
The 6-day holiday workshop KÖRPER FORMEN – KÖRPER WESEN offers you a diverse creative program during the Easter holidays at the Gerhard-Marcks-Haus in the Viertel.
The current exhibition features hybrid creatures of animals and humans—sculptures by Thomas Duttenhoefer. Hybrid beings appear in our fairy tales and stories from all cultures. And now it’s your turn: What kind of creature is hidden in your imagination? What kind of half-animal, half-human being will you create from clay or cardboard? What story emerges from this connection? And how does this creature move through space?
The young artists, the children’s and youth label of steptext dance project, are offering this holiday workshop on dance and visual arts for young artists and movement explorers in collaboration with the Gerhard-Marcks-Haus Bremen and QUARTIER gGmbH.
Suitable for participants aged 7–12 years, no prior experience required.
KÖRPER FORMEN-KÖRPER WESEN is led by the experienced team of Augusto Jaramillo-Pineda (dance and movement) and Soyeon Starke-An (sculpture and design).
At the end of the holiday program, family and friends are invited to watch the presentation of the creative process, either on-site or online.
Participation in the holiday workshop is free of charge. Lunch is included.
Participants are asked to bring comfortable clothing.
